A couple of years ago I worked as concept artist in the movie "Europa Report", alongside PD Eugenio Caballero. Science fiction is my favorite genre and I had the chance to design the spaceship, creatures and environments. Art Directos Guild Nomination

Damned Friday nominations

A couple of months ago EDT released in Spain the graphic novel I did with the great movie director Paco Plaza. Since it was my first comic book it makes me happy to see that it has been nominated in two categories in this year's Madrid Comic Convention "Expocomic". The Impossible - Tree -

"The Impossible" has broken all box office records in Spain. I finished my work in the movie years ago and at last I can show some of it here, since it has been already published in the astonishing new book of the movie. During my time working in the movie I did around 100 different concept drawings and I will publish some of them on this and upcoming posts. Today I want to show you some of the drawings that were used to design the tree where Maria and Lucas climb after the wave.

The Impossible

This weekend the movie "The Impossible" has been premiered with amazing critical acclaim. Norma Editorial has simultaniously released a book written by Desiree de Fez about the making of of the movie. Some of the concept drawings I did for the movie can be seen on this 238 pages book.

Damned Friday - Maldito Viernes

During the last months I've been working with the amazing Paco Plaza, director of movies such as the REC saga, in a graphic novel called "Damned Friday". It will be released during september in Spain by the publishing company "Editores de Tebeos" and will presented during the Sitges Film Festival.

In the current issue of swiss cinema magazine "Filmbulletin" there is an interview with Production Designer Brigitte Broch. REC 3

REC 3 opens this week and was already screened in some festivals, so I figure it's time to publish some of the artwork I did for this amazing movie. REC 1 and 2 are some of my favorite horror movies and I had an incredible time working in this third part, specially with director Paco Plaza. It was a joy working with him and at the moment we are collaborating on a new project that I can't talk about yet. More about this soon.

This is a personal work mixing different images that haunted me in my childhood. Back then I used to see every horror movie in existance with my old brother.

The Impossible teaser

This is the first teaser for the movie "The Impossible" starring Ewan Mcgregor and Naomi Watts. I worked for one and a half years during preproduction for both, the director J.A. Bayona, and the Production Designer Eugenio Caballero. We will have to wait until October to see the movie but it will be for sure worth the wait.

Jake Paltrow's new movie

I've been working for several weeks designing robots for the upcoming movie by director Jake Paltrow. It's a sci-fi movie starring Casey Affleck, Jamie Bell and Elle Fanning. This is the sales poster of the movie.

Snowflake

In a few days the movie Snowflake will be released in Spain. I did some illustrations and photo retouching for my dear friend Sylvia Steinbrecht, who was the art director of this beautiful movie. Snowflake is a movie mixed animation/live action aimed at children and inspired on the real white gorilla Snowflake from Barcelona Zoo.
